StuFLaW 05/22: Two-Card Standard, LessWrong, Kurzgesagt

I'm trying out a new series of posts called StuFLaW that release concurrently with my normal posts, an acronym for Stuff From Last Week designed to make it really hard to press the shift key at the correct time while typing it. StuFLaW will contain topics from the previous week that are really more suited to a quick paragraph than an entire blog post, but I was thinking about them and wanted to include them. There's no regular schedule for StuFLaW, but it will happen whenever it's necessary.

Without further ado, let's get right in.

1. I've come up with a format in Magic: The Gathering called Two-Card Standard. Basically, you get only two different cards to build your deck with. For example, 20x Mountain and 40x Shock It's elaborated on over here

2. Eliezer Yudkowsky over on LessWrong is really cool. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, as it's a bit technical and jargony, but it's definitely insightful and deep if you can get past that part. The link is right here.

3. Finally, a YouTube channel. It's called Kurzgesagt. My favorite video I've watched by them so far is about Loneliness. You all should go watch it right now; it will be among the most useful ten minutes of your life. What are you waiting for?* Click here. By the way, my other subscriptions are Half as Interesting, Rhystic Studies, Numberphile, Vihart, Spice 8 Rack, Seth Perler, John McLeod, and Brier Buchalter.

And that's a wrap for StuFLaW this week! The companion piece on vegetarianism is here.

*It's possible you can't watch right now. If so, do it as soon as possible.
